About Rapid Fusion

Rapid Fusion designs and manufactures large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) systems built around KUKA robotics, serving the defence, aerospace, marine, and commercial sectors. Our Zeus, Apollo, Cerberus, and Medusa platforms are installed at customer sites across the UK and internationally.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead the onsite installation and commissioning of our industrial robotic systems. You'll travel to customer facilities in the UK and worldwide to install, wire, test, and commission KUKA robot cells and their associated equipment — extruders, control panels, safety systems, and ancillary hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Onsite installation and commissioning of KUKA robot cells and associated industrial equipment

Electrical installation work: control panel wiring, power distribution, motor/servo drive connections, sensor and safety circuit wiring

Fault-finding and diagnostics during installation and commissioning

Functional and safety testing of installed systems to handover standard

Working to electrical schematics and installation documentation; marking up as-built changes

Liaising with customers onsite professionally and representing the company well

Supporting factory build and test activities between installations

Completing installation reports and handover documentation

Requirements

Qualified Electrical Engineer or time-served electrician with industrial experience (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent apprenticeship)

Experience installing and wiring industrial machinery — robotics, automation, or CNC equipment highly desirable

Ability to read and work from electrical schematics

Confident fault-finder with a methodical approach

Full UK driving licence — essential

Valid passport and willingness to travel worldwide, sometimes at short notice and for extended periods — essential

18th Edition wiring regulations (BS 7671) desirable

Experience with KUKA (KRC4/KRC5), Siemens PLCs, or industrial safety systems (PROFIsafe, SafeOperation) an advantage

Right to work in the UK

What We Offer

     Competitive salary

     Company benefits package

     All travel expenses paid

Overseas travel with varied, hands-on work — no two installs the same

Small, fast-moving engineering team with direct exposure to cutting-edge robotic manufacturing technology

Genuine opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company
