Rapid Fusion spins out of Evo 3D, an established 3D printer reseller, with offices and a showroom above the workshop in Exeter.

2024

Apollo Launches

Apollo launches as our robotic pellet extrusion cell built around a KUKA robot arm, with nearly 4m reach and a 2 × 3 × 3m build volume.

First TCT Award

The PE320 extruder wins the TCT Hardware Award for Polymer Systems, recognising its power-to-weight performance.

February 2025

Medusa Launches

Medusa launches as the UK's first home-built large-format hybrid printer, developed through a £1.2m Innovate UK grant with Rolls-Royce, Ai Build, the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland and Filamentive.

June 2025

Medusa Manufacturing Scales

Rapid Fusion signs a manufacturing agreement with Applied Automation, creating a dedicated Medusa assembly line in Plymouth with a six-week build cycle.

Second Consecutive TCT Award

The Apollo and Zeus hybrid robotic cell earns Rapid Fusion its second TCT Award in two years.

PADT Becomes Our First US Channel Partner

PADT joins Rapid Fusion as our first North American channel partner, covering customers across the United States and Canada.
